Lydia was born and raised as a farm kid in British Columbia, Canada. Her education was in horticulture, but after a short-term trip to Hungary to help with an English camp, she found she had a love for teaching, and now spends a good deal of  her time in Tapolca, a small town in western Hungary.  There  she helps out with teaching English in schools and after-school clubs, as well as leading youth groups and other community programs.
